Ms. Jimenez is the Housing Placement Assistant in African Services’ HOPWA program. She helps find permanent housing for people living with AIDS and assists clients to understand their rights as tenant. Irma brings to African Services her experience as a medical technician assisting in-patients at a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol abuse. She also worked as a rental specialist for BPC Management in Brooklyn. As a long-time New York City resident, Irma enjoys assisting new immigrants with practical information and advice. Originally from Honduras, she speaks Spanish, as well as English, and is currently learning French.
