Housing Placement

Our HIV housing program enables HIV-positive clients to secure the sustainable housing they need to promote health and stability for themselves and their families.

Staffed by a team experienced in New York City housing and real estate communities, African Services' program provides emergency transitional and permanent housing placement, short-term rental assistance and application to the Sustainable Living Fund.

The housing team also works in close collaboration with our family case management and legal services programs to evaluate and assist eligible clients in applying for long-term housing benefits, such as HASA.

To support clients in maintaining their housing, African Services’ conducts workshops on financial planning, home safety and tenants' rights.
